Power Saving and Management Features:
-
Responder uses the most power only when transmitting (key press). Very low power consumed during idle periods.
-
Quality of signal and battery status information is automatically provided when responder is connected to the base station. This allows users to react easily to low batter indications displayed by the Convey application software. That's right, the software tells you when a responder has a low battery condition!
-
Responders automatically turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Re-connection to current Convey session is simple on re-start.
-
All responders automatically turn off when Convey application is closed (optionally).
Virtual Responder Specifications:
-
Virtual responders (VR) allow any device with a browser to be used to respond to questions in place of a dedicated, hardware responder.

-
iOS devices, pc or Mac computers with a browser*, Android devices can all be used as a VR.
-
The Convey VR is in beta release now. Contact us to add VR functionality to your Convey installation.
-
VR's are flexible, allowing users to have a multi-function device. They work great in a 1-to-1 computing rollout.
-
VR's can be mixed with dedicated, hardware responders in a single polling session.
-
VR's are free! The Active Student License covers a student using either a hardware or virtual responder. The student can use whatever device is handy at the moment, switching back and forth as availability dictates.
